Office of the Assistant Secretary of Defense for Health Affairs OASD(HA)

Full contract effort provides the Office of the Assistant Secretary of Defense for Health Affairs (OASD(HA)) support services that cover Program and Project Management, Data Analytics, Document and Records Management, Senior-level Support to Military Health Systems (MHS) Governance Councils, Report Writing, Policy Issuance, Facilitation Support, and Transition and Change Management services. Support is provided in a dynamic and challenging environment to support the Front Office, MHS Governance process, the Strategy Management Cell, the Decision Support Cell, the Policy and Compliance Team, Coalition and Non-Beneficiary Health Programs Office, Department of Defense (DoD)/Veteran Affairs (VA) Program Coordination Team, Strategic Communications/Public Affairs Division, and Legislative Affairs Division, as necessary.
The OutFit specifically provides Specialized Project Support. General efforts include communicating with senior leadership and aiding in the development, preparation, editing, collection, and dissemination of briefings, agendas, meeting minutes/summaries, reports, and presentations. We also develop and monitor program-specific performance metrics, and document, track, and update decisions and actions identified on Plan of Actions and Milestones (POA&Ms) and other trackers. Our staff supports the DHA Resource Oversight Board (ROB) work streams which consist of seven (7) panel meetings: Education and Training (E&T); Facilities; Healthcare Delivery (HCD); Information Management/Information Technology (IM/IT); Joint Portfolio Panel (JPP); Operational/Installation Support (OIS); and Research, Development, and Acquisition (RD&A).
As required, we provide data analysis and developmental support for responses to the Government Accountability Office, Department of Defense, Congressional taskers, and for Requests for Information (RFIs). Other items under our tasks include maintaining Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), training, and maintaining an electronic reference library of documents for collaboration or document sharing (e.g., project plans, points of contacts, organization charters, task lists, read-aheads, and other resources) on the Government Shared Drive.
