Joann (Jo) Pinto joined The OutFit in 2019 as one of the Subject Matter Experts for the transition efforts for the Facilities Operations Branch (FOB) for the Defense Health Agency (DHA). Jo started her career as a U.S. Army Medical Service Corps/Health Facility Planner. In 2001, Jo resigned her commission and continued her service as a government civilian working for the Air Force. During her time with Air Force, she worked in Civil Engineering; however, she eventually found her way back to Healthcare Facilities Management, where she spent over 18 years at one of the largest Medical Campuses in the Air Force. Jo is a multi-dimensional facilities operations executive leader and team builder with 25+ years of military healthcare facilities operations experience. In 2021, as an extension of the Contract Management department, the Business Development team was created with Jo Pinto as team lead and Nancy Stone as lead analyst. This team brought tools and processes historically utilized for clients into Corporate HQ helping to drive better acquisition strategies and streamlining teaming efforts. With Jo in the lead, The OutFit is networking to determine avenues to expand our capabilities, looking into partnerships in the healthcare IT, Accreditation/Compliance, Training, and Finance sectors. This team is working to create dashboards that will effectively drive increased opportunities for business and new partnerships.
Jo is a native of Baroda, Michigan, and a graduate of Western Michigan University, where she earned her Bachelor's degree in Interior Design and commissioned as a 2nd Lieutenant in the U.S. Army. Jo enjoys spending time with her three children and gardening by making succulent and cactus arrangements. She is an avid cyclist and an honorary member of the U.S. Air Force Cycling Team.
